The Brooch is part of the Collection the "Fustanella Project "
which is inspired by the Fustanella, a traditional military uniform that was worn by our Greek heroes during the War of Independence against the Turkish invaders.
The Fustanella today is associated with the costume worn by the Evzones, the National Guards stationed in front of the Parliament House in downtown Athens
